Yesterday it was that time again. The MOIN Filmförderung Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein hosted its Midsummer party at Kampnagel, and we were there. MOIN flags hung everywhere, from the yard up to the ceiling of the hall. Palm trees stood under the fairy lights outside, and a seahorse floated above everyone’s heads inside. The kind of evening you make the trip for.
MOIN Midsummer at Kampnagel
On 23 June the MOIN Filmförderung Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein hosted its Midsummer party at Kampnagel. An evening about good conversations, northern German humour and what happens when the right people come together.
I. Midsummer at Kampnagel
II. The stage, the reunion
For a moment it turned official. The crowd gathered in front of the stage, Helge Albers, managing director of the MOIN Filmförderung, picked up the microphone, the Midsummer lettering glowing behind him. After that it went on as before, with the familiar back and forth of old acquaintances and new faces.
III. What it is really about
This is exactly what you make the trip for. The conversations with people from the industry, and that northern German humour that moves somewhere between honest and dry. Evenings like this remind you what it is really about. The exchange, the networking, and the space that opens up when the right people come together.
Thank you to the MOIN Filmförderung Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein for the invitation and the evening. See you at the next Midsummer.
