HEIMATHAFEN is a visual homage to Karl Lagerfeld and at the same time a poetic
approach to Hamburg as a place of departure. Inspired by the Métiers d’Art Show
2017/18, the project tells of home and wanderlust, of the tension between
staying and moving on.
The Elbe is a quiet emblem of this duality: a river in constant
motion that connects past and future. Two women
embody this state of in-between: one carried by longing and courage,
the other calm and steady, like an anchor amid change.
In the combination of fashion, architecture and cinematic imagery, a
narrative about identity, memory and change emerges. HEIMATHAFEN is a
project about the moment between arriving and setting out, the point where origin becomes
attitude.
“Heimathafen” is the bachelor’s graduation project of Anna Marleen Kutsch, with which she
completed her costume design studies. She realised the editorial together
with Studio Moodio from Munich. [k]eine produktion was there on site as
service production.
